Overview
Create a dedicated Investment bank account for each investment to track principal and simplify reporting and year-end.
Steps
- From the Main Menu, go to My School Information > Program Maintenance, open the 5 Step Set-Up process (or your district’s bank account creation workflow).
- Name the bank account using the investment name or certificate number (e.g., CD #12345 10/31/2025).
- Set the Opening Balance equal to the investment principal recorded in SGF (positive value).
- On Category Umbrellas, associate Investment Principal as the umbrella type for the investment category.
- Save.
Outcome
An Investment bank account is created and ready to reconcile monthly.
