This guide will help you find new and creative ways to encourage parents/guardians to start paying activity fees online using the Auto-Subscription feature available with your district’s current subscription to SchoolCash Online.

SchoolCash Online: Auto-Subscription

Auto-Subscription automates parent/guardian account set up and email notifications. With Auto-Subscription, students can be automatically added to a parent/guardian’s SchoolCash Online account. This feature is driven by an integration between the district’s student information system and SchoolCash, which automatically links students to a guardian's email in SchoolCash Online.

Districts have generally witnessed an immediate 30% jump in parent adoption rates within one week of activating Auto-Subscribe.

Auto-Subscription is an optional feature available free-of-charge that requires district-level permission to enable.

What features are available to SchoolCash Online users with Auto-subscription?

How it works

  1. SchoolCash relies on student information provided by the District to automatically link students to the guardian email in SchoolCash Online.
  2. SchoolCash Online emails an invitation on behalf of the District to each guardian email address provided by the District, inviting them to add the student to their account. The guardian only needs to click Accept to add them. Existing registered parents or guardians will not receive an invitation.
  3. Auto-subscribed guardians can share and manage their students’ access with known guardians.

How to manage student access in SchoolCash Online

Managing access enables auto-subscribed guardians to share access with known guardians who are not invited to SchoolCash Online through auto-subscription. Additionally, it enables auto-subscribed guardians to stop sharing access with other guardians who should not have access to a student. This is helpful in scenarios where the legal access to a student is limited to one parent.

  1. To share access, click on the Share Access link.
  2. Type the email address you want to share access with and click Send.

    An email invitation is sent to the known guardian to accept adding the student to their account. The invitation will remain pending until it is accepted by the known guardian.

Stop Sharing a Student

To unsubscribe a student from another known guardian, click on the Stop Sharing link.
